What's a "Nursery" vs. a "Garden Center"?
Nurseries GROW plants .
Garden Centers BUY plants from nurseries.
Superior Nursery grows most of the the plants we sell at our Garden Center.
If their name includes "Nursery" ask them WHAT they grow!

A lot of time goes into deciding what to offer our customers each season. We strive to provide the areas best and largest selection of high quality, high value, landscape ready plants. You'll find everything from large caliper shade trees, landscape shrubs, perennials, annuals and organically grown native plants throughout the garden center.
First, every plant has to be suitable for our region and climate. Our annuals are very exciting too! So are our own organically grown, non GMO heirloom vegetables and herbs!
Then, we must have the ability to manage the plant inventory to ensure maximum health. Being organic this means we don't carry some plant species that are prone to disease and insects. This allows us the opportunity to introduce our customers to other choices they may not otherwise have considered.
We also don't bring plants in from outside the Mid Atlantic region. Our suppliers are truly LOCAL, as in 150 miles or less...not 24 hours by transport like other folks proclaim as "Local"...
We grow and sell the usual long time favorites and the unusual and rare. We love hearing what you'd like us to offer so feel free to contact us with your requests!
Our inventory is always changing as we stagger our production to suit the season. If it's blooming here, it's blooming in your yard. If it's dormant naturally, it's dormant here. We don't force nature, she's done a pretty good job on her own. It means our plants are healthier and acclimated...and not full of chemicals.
Our price reflects the fair value of the plant and it's quality. You'll find we offer a better value for your money.
Take a look around the nursery, then come visit...you never know who or what you might see...
